Get Involved

Many ways to lend a hand

Our work is not possible without the time, talent, and love of our community members. There are so many ways that you can get involved and help make our school the best that it can be. Read more about the current opportunities below and click HERE to sign up for roles/teams, ongoing shifts, or a one-time event. Any amount of time you can volunteer is incredibly valuable and so appreciated! If you have questions or ideas, email the Volunteer Coordinator: Volunteer.GoldenHillPTO@gmail.com.

  • Join a Team

Parent teams work closely with teachers and school staff to enhance our school community and bridge resource gaps. Current teams are focused on connecting families with resources, helping school performances run smoothly, promote literacy, and planning community events. Join an existing team or start a new one!

  • Event Volunteer

Help bring our favorite community celebrations to life by helping with set up, facilitating activities, selling food, cleaning up, etc. Volunteers are needed for PTO events including Eagle Fun Run, Día de los Muertos Festival, and GoldenPalooza, as well as grade-level events and field trips organized by Room Parents and teachers.

  • Lunch & Recess Volunteer

Be an extra caring adult on campus during the school day. Help students move through lunch routines, enjoy safe and inclusive play, and return to class ready to learn. Regular and occasional shifts are both incredibly valuable.

  • Grade-Level Room Parent

Serve as a bridge between teachers, caregivers, and students, keeping families informed and connected, and reducing stress/ workload for teachers. Room parents in each grade-level work as a team to enhance the overall educational experience for students and create a supportive and organized classroom environment.

  • Start a Club

Have a hobby, skill, language, or creative interest you would love to share? Propose a student club and help create a welcoming space for children to learn, make friends, and explore something new.

  • Company Donation Matching

Make your contribution go even further. Many employers match charitable gifts or volunteer hours, which can double—or sometimes triple—the support Golden Hill students receive. Check your workplace benefits and submit a matching request.

Every hour helps our school shine.

Whether you have one afternoon or a whole school year, there is a place for you at Golden Hill.
